2002 "SNACKS ON THE STREET" (2002-04-28 22:44:45) (Posted by: Greg Ritson) The Salvation Army is pleased to invite you to join us at one of four locations on May 2, 2002 for “Snacks on the Street”.  Vancouver Art Gallery  Burrard Street (at Robson)  BC Hydro (Dunsmuir & Homer  Victoria Designed as a public awareness campaign and public thank you, The Salvation Army will be presenting our new Community Crisis Response Vehicles from which the "Snacks" will be served. In the event of an emergency or crisis situation, whether its a search and rescue mission for one, or a forest fire involving hundreds of people, our Community Crisis Response vehicles arrive on the scene with volunteers who are trained and ready to respond. Each Friday evening our vehicles head out onto the streets to distribute food and supplies to the homeless through our 'Street Ministries'. Come for a free beverage and snack in appreciation of your continued support of The Salvation Army in Vancouver and Victoria.
